I’m creating a Swedish travel site. I have implemented Google Maps on it and now I need a database with all the continents, countrys, citys and IP-adress in Swedish so I can let the users mark on the map where they are. The database should consist of nearly all the countries and citys in the world.
They should also be able to search for citys and countries in my database.
I would like everything in a excel document that I can easily input in my database. The rows could contain these elements: Continent, Country, City, IP-address, Longitude/Latitude. If it’s possible I would also like everything in English, so it’s possible for users to search for the english name of the country, but then it should be transformed to the Swedish name. Just like resdagboken.se has when you search for a city or country, on this site: http://www.resdagboken.se/Web/Apps/Search/MapSearch.aspx?id=254&epslanguage=sv
Some help on the way:
Google Maps has everything in Swedish and also the swedish site resdagboken.se has everything in Swedish.
