We are having trouble on a new site we are creating Reinstalling is a last resort so we thought we would see if there is a programmer that will be able to help us.
When we try to update the global settings we receive this message:
“An Error has occurred! Unable to open configuration.php file to write!”
When we try to upload an extension, we get this message:
“Error! Could not find an XML setup file in the package.”
We are using Joomla 1.5.21, PHP5 and all of the permissions are writable under “Directory Permissions”.
