– VIDEOS DATABASE
· Database to manage our bank of videos and feed them into several video pages in the new website design.
Fields needed:

– Video – either the video file or where the video is located on our server, to be used to pull the videos onto the template design
– Title – that will appear on the pages
– Length – duration of the video, which will appear under the thumbnails on the design
– Category – drop down field with the following options: sales, tutorials, interviews, presentations
– Type – drop down field with the following options: Real Estate, Mortgage, General
– Short Description – text field that will hold around 10 words for short descriptions of the videos
– Long Description – text field that will hold the longer descriptions used in our promotional emails and for the featured videos on the template design
– Thumbnail Image – will we need to manually upload a thumbnail image or can this automatically be generated from the video without having a field in the database? Please keep in mind that the video will not play in the thumbnail area (see below).
– We will need to be able to indicate the top priority/featured video in each Category, so that it appears as the large video on the top of the page. Typically this will be our latest monthly Sales Tip, featured Presentation video, most in-demand Tutorial, or latest Interview. Changing which video is the featured video will then have an impact on the thumbnails below it for the remainder of the video library within that category.
– For the Real Estate and Mortgage sales tips, we’re planning to use two different pages for these and having the latest monthly video tip at the top of the page. This will replace the individual video pages that are currently set up for sending out links in our monthly emails. For the two different pages on the site, there are several videos that are the same for each (these would be classed as ‘General’ under the Video Type). To make sure people see what they need to see the Real Estate videos page will include video/thumbnails for all of the Real Estate AND General videos, and the Mortgage videos page will include all of the Mortgage AND General videos. The rest of the sections just use all of the videos for their Category.
