Ticketing Site – Mysql – Php – Mobile

The project incorporates the development of a ticket-selling system for sports events. It is to be developed using PHP (5.2.6 ) and mySQL.

Ticket information is to be downloaded periodically from a partner site using XML feeds and stored locally. This information is then combined with information read from both a local configuration file and information retrieved from a local database to construct the local PHP pages.

RSS feeds are created for certain pages, constructed with information extracted from predefined database queries feeds.

URLs are rewritten using .htaccess.

The user searches our local database with manual searches and by clicking on local pages containing predefined local searches.
Our local pages will contain read from RSS feeds.

Finally, when a user decides to purchase a ticket, the corresponding event page on the partner site is loaded to allow completion of the purchase.

The site will be structured to allow translation into other international (Spanish, French etc), and switching to those languages by users.

The site will include mobile markup and display suitable optimizations for visitors utilizing mobile devices.

The XML feed information and ticketing databases will be supplied on project commencement.

Some features may require the creation of further tables.
