I need a Windows app to be used in a printing production environment. This app will be used to manually prep (color/density/contrast) RGB images for printing on our high-volume printers. Code in VB.net using the Graphics Mill sdk from Aurigma.com and mySQL. I will obtain the Graphics Mill license after project completion; evaluation version available from aurigma.com.
Functionality:
– Automatically generate thumbnails from original 10k x 10k and smaller pixel.jpg and .tiff files
– View a screen of thumbnails and select 1 or multiple images for correction
– Larger preview opens as visual guide
– Multiple correction input modes by operator: Keyboard, Curves/mouse
– ICC color managed display for monitor to print matching
– Correction values saved to SQL for offline processing
– Must have capacity of 2,000 – 4,000 images per 60 minutes
– Offline processing of original hi res image to apply corrections and convert image colorspace and embed ICC profile. Parameters pulled from SQL
– Original images reside on network storage in multiple directories having unique names. There will be duplicate filenames between directories
– Code must be well documented
