SimpleSlider is a lightweight mobile solution that is 100% liquid. This means it’s ready to coexist with your responsive website right out of the box. And if your website isn’t responsive, no problem—SimpleSlider works just the same inside a fixed sized container.

How does the resizing work?
When a desktop banner image is resized for a mobile environment, usually the width AND height get resized. And the resulting size is often so small there’s barely any room left for important text and links. SimpleSlider solves this problem by resizing the banner’s viewport instead of the imagery, leaving enough room to fit readable text and important links even on the smallest screens.
So in short, if cropping imagery is out of the question, SimpleBanner is not for you. But if you want a cool desktop banner that’s also a great mobile solution, then check out the demo on your computer and mobile device!
Special Notes
- When auto-play is used on a desktop, mousing over the banner will pause autoplay and vice versa.
- Imagery used in the preview is for demo purposes only and is not included in the source download.
- Opera does not support custom cursors which are used in SimpleSlider and the generic “move” cursor is used instead.
- The plugin supports automatic multiple instantiation (you can use more than one SimpleSlider on the same page).
- The autoplay preloader is an HTML5 Canvas based animation and is only available where supported.
- A link is provided to reading material about responsive websites, but instructions are not included for converting your website into a responsive environment.
- SimpleSlider has been tested succesfully on Windows 8 and IE10 (and it’s lightning fast!), although custom hand cursors are not supported (“move” cursor used instead).
