This extended widget recent post widget replace the default widget recent posts with more visual options and easy to customize.
Installing Plugin
From the Administration Panels , click on the Plugin tab. Once you have uploaded the plugin to your WordPress plugin directory, activate it from the Plugins Management page.
Using Plugin
Goto the Widget tab of the Appearance section, drag the widget to your available widget area and configure the widget.
Here is the widget options you can customize:
Title Give a short title for your extended recent post widget title.
Number of posts to show The default number of post to show is 5. You can adjust it as much you want.
Show at homepage? This option is a check box. Check it if you want this widget show at home page. The default value is true or checked.
Show at single page? This option is a check box. Check it if you want this widget show at singular page. The default value is true or checked.
Uninstalling Plugins
To remove this plugin, make sure the plugin is deactivated from the Plugins panel. Go to your website’s wp-content/plugins folder (usually with an FTP program) and look for the file name extended-widget-recent-post. Select the file name and delete it.
If have your WordPress site on your hard drive, open the wp-content/plugins folder on your site and find the file name of the plugin you want to delete, select it and delete it.
