This is a hit counter, featuring AJAX ! Now, instead of having to refresh your page each time you want to see a new hit, you can watch your hit counter update right before your eyes, without a page refresh!

The counter uses AJAX to send the hit, but even if your visitor has JavaScript disabled, their hit will still be counted.
As well, you can specify special ‘script parameters’, as I like to call them, which allow you to disable the hit counter on certain pages. This feature is useful to those who have a dynamically created head section. Simply use src="activehits.js?nohits", and that page will not register a hit!
