Responsive: Bloggit is a fully responsive theme and resizes to fit your browser or device. The theme has been tested on the iPhone, iTouch, iPad and iPad mini. You can test the “responsiveness” by resizing your browser but the best way is to actually take out your phone or tablet and test the theme there!
Breaking News Alert: Bloggit’s brews alert area gives you the opportunity to draw readers’ attention to a specific post, page, or promotion. The bright color and top of the page placement catches your eye.
AJAX Load More: The load more button on the homepage and category pages lets your reader click to show more posts until they’ve loaded everything. No refresh required. This makes it easier for users to find what they’re looking for, and easily browse your content. Load more is optional, so you can always choose standard pagination if you’d prefer.
Double Homepage Sliders: Royal Slider and Flex Slider are both built into the homepage layout. A featured Royal Slider with unique transitions is both fun and functional. And an additional featured posts Flex Slider gives you the option to include a second set of featured posts. Maybe you want to focus on videos, galleries, or special promotions. Anything goes – simply select a category you want to show posts from! You can always disable one of the sliders if you want, but why would you want to?
Double Navigation & Footer: This is a great way to include loads of content sorting options for your readers. The double navigation lets you include links to pages, categories, tags – whatever you want. With so much space, you can make it easier for readers to navigate your site. Additionally, there are two footers for widgets galore! Add Twitter, newsletter signups, deals, calendars, laxest posts, etc. There are lots of widgets to choose from.
Deals Post Type and Widget: This is an awesome custom post type and widget designed specifically with bloggers in mind. To make it easier for your to share special offers, coupon codes, and other promotions you might want to use Bloggit’s Deals post type. Then you can add your deals to one of the footer or sidecar areas using the Deals widget. This is a fantastic way to share savings with your readers, and spread the word about great specials!
Post Formats: The theme comes with support for 6 post formats: standard, image, gallery, link, music and video. Bloggit uses lightbox via FancyBox 2 for easy image expansion, the core media gallery system in WordPress 3.5 to quickly build galleries, and an oEmded a meta option to add videos in a flash. It’s easy to add different media and content to your sit using BLoggit’s awesome post formats. Plus, each post format has its own custom hover effect!
Shortcodes: The Symple Shortcodes is included in Bloggit, and gives you lots of customization options. Add buttons, alerts, toggles, Google maps, and more.
Unlimited Color “Highlight” and Custom Backgrounds: Bloggit comes with theme option that will allow you to change the default blue highlight of the theme with just a few clicks. Yup- just choose a color you love in the admin panel, and all of the theme elements in the default blue will change to the color you picked. The theme also comes with 21 background patterns (or none), or you can add any color or image of your own by using the WordPress core feature at Appearance->Background.
