WHAT WE WOULD ALSO LIKE:
– a designer or team of designers who can create animated videos and graphics (not GIF images, but animated logos, etc.)
– a designer or team of designers who are have the ability to code in PHP/MySQL and possibly have experience with Drupal or other scalable CMS packages

This is a long-term commitment which will be very rewarding for the chosen designer or team of designers. I need some help with my wordpress website. I have zero knowledge of WP and I need some changes to be made. My site is peektelevision(dot)com.

FRONT

– The category bar should be removed if possible.

– The featured box (black box on top) should be removed and look like thefilmwall(dot)com. New logo on the left, text on the right.

– I don’t know how to select the featured blog post for on the front page. I can select featured movies for the top box (black box which you must delete and replace, see above), but I don’t see where I can select the 15 movies for the front page.

– The movie frames on the front page should look like movies-on-demand.tv. They have the same width, but are higher. Images must be resized correctly if too big.

INSIDE (blog post)

– User should be able to report dead links. See thefilmwall. Can dead links be shown in WP admin so I can delete them there?

– User must be able to submit a movie link, but with captcha (to prevent spam). See also thefilmwall.

– No comment system, but a submit link system. (see above)

– Movie title may not be a link. The date must be removed.

SCRIPT

– Url’s must be like thefilmwall. So you must change .htaccess.

– You need to install sitemap generator like on thefilmwall.

– My descriptions aren’t right. You must change the SEO plugin.

— So in the end the site should look/function more like thefilmwall(with movie frame like movies-on-demand.tv) —

Maybe you can also advice (and install) more modifications/plugins to let the website run as smooth as possible.
For instance an IMDB plugin to get movie info from IMDB?

I also want you to tell me how you changed all of the above, so I can learn more about WP.

This project involved changing and adding some features to an existing website I have already, I am looking for a competent web designer / programmer to under take this work. This is basic website maintenance, so not looking for anybody who plans to take a month to do this work or even three weeks.

I need to see examples of work you completed before.

Feature Requirements

•Colour scheme of site must be change to something different and user friendly

•Clearance button removed from the site.

•For demonstration I want three images with description, per category be appropriately format and added to the site. This must be present when you hand the finished work over to me.

•A home button needs to be added to the admin page, once you logout from the admin page it can be click to return to the main page of the site.

•I want the currency on the site to be in pounds for the moment, so all files relating to US dollars be changed accordingly.

Coding Requirements

•All VB code behind be place with their corresponding ASP pages

•All code should be in VB, all remnants of C# or any other language must be removed

•All unnecessary files and folder must be removed, basically I want the files and folder organised professionally.

Final Note

Everything about the change you make to the site must be kept simple and easy to understand, including the file structure.

We currently have a paypal shopping cart that is working well with the exception of the shipping portion. This is a problem ONLY because their shipping tables only offer 5 tiers. I need at least 10, 12 would be better. I can either use a per unit or a weight based shipping solution. If either will work well, I will look at and advise which is preferable. We have many differenet items, but all are about the same weight–except when we sell by the case which could be set up as an exception, I believe.
