I have an existing application that works well but needs some refactoring. It has Ruby on Rails on the server side and JQuery on the front end. It currently runs on Windows using Webrick. You likely will have to work on Windows.

There are 2 main tasks:

1. Refactor CSS
The CSS for the RoR templates is spread over serveral files. Layout looks good on FF and IE8, but has some problems on IE6/7
Deliverable:
a)Clean CSS without any changes in appearance, preferable in one or two files.
b) Short, clear comments for each section.
c) validated html
c) Tested on FF, IE8/7/6.

2. Refactor Javascript/JQuery
There is a folder browser in the application done in JQuery, and a couple of other JQuery things (drag/drop). Most JS is in application.js and in a separate file for the file browser.
Deliverable:
a) refactor JQuery code into 1 or 2 files with clear organization
b) turn some post requests into GET
c) a small extension for the folder browser, will be detailed later

I am looking for someone very ORGANIZED with a sense for clear structures.

I will consider using 2 contractors for this job.
So if you think you are very good with CSS, but don’t know JQuery, please apply. The same is true the other way around.

There is no or little actual work in RoR. You need basic RoR skills to make everything work, but if you don’t have a whole lot experience, that’s fine.

Each new banner must be provided to us in both 500 X 69 and 475 X 65 and MUST be in .GIF format.

I need to add content to my site that is search engine friendly. I attached a list of keywords to this post that I want to have someone to grab or create a few paragraphs of content for that is highly optimized for each keyword. On my site create add a link for each webpage created to each page of the site with the keyword in the link. You can add them to the column on the left side but use a smaller font. It would be good if we could use some dymanic pages that are search friendly but make it easy to edit any links that are on the webpages you create so I do not have to change the link on 80 paged which would be time consuming. I am looking for a designer to build us an exact copy of existing site (www.herbalife.com). We need an ecommerce site for our medical marijuana business and want to copy this site and most of its content. We want the site to be x-cart or similar with easy to use back end admin pages so we can manage updating page info and pictures ourselves as needed. The site must handle online ordering, shopping cart, paypal payments, etc. We need to track customers, customer numbers, emails, logins and passwords, plus auto help for lost passwords, auto email for password resets, etc.

As part of this project, we need a logo created that will look just like the Herbalife logo, only the leaves in the circle will be marijuana leaf. Same font and simple. We also need a customized payment page that will auto respond via email to customers with thank you notes after order and work seemlessly with paypal!

When I disabled the slider on my homepage, then re-enabled it, my home page bacame distorted in IE and Firefox.

1.Too much white space on right side of page homepage.
2.Too much white space at below footer of page homepage.
3.Navigation bar below banner should not be there on homepage.
4.Homepage footer below green certification icons should look just like innerpage footer.
5.Footer not showing up in older Internet Explorer.
