9-5 (Experimental, Abstract)

This is progressive and alternative. The instrumentation ranges from percussion, woodwind, strings and brass to compliment the climax towards the end of the track.

The music also contains a sample that I recorded of an old type writer, this is used to aid the percussion and rhythms within the track and to suggest the average, mundane 9-5 job.

Space Extremes (New Age)

This music/sound design has an element of space, both in terms of mood and literally. After the “introduction” crescendo horns sound which do give the track an intergalactic feel.

At the beginning of the track the music begins gently, with oboe and piano blending and sharing the improvised melody, this then goes into a relaxed and spacious (in mood) identity, with both mixed choir and harp giving a both heavenly and haunting feel. At around 1:18 the percussion begins, along with the horns.

The piece on the whole is in ternary form, but you could also argue on rondo form to a degree. Main instrumentation include synthesizers, oboe, harp, piano, choir, horns, dubstep and classical style percussion.
