I’m looking for help configure a Ubuntu box, we need to capture alsa output into ffmpeg with jack or OSS but not pulseaudio, as that tends to glitch badly.

We have things working, but we are sort of hacking around in the dark, as we aren’t linux audio experts ourselves.

I have a flash video that start playing with sound. It has a mute button that allows you to turn the sound off/on. I would like to change it so that the video starts playing without sound. There will be a button on the top left of the video that says “click for sound”. If the button is clicked then the video will restart from the beginning with sound. To see the flash video that I am talking about out, go to www.nightvision.tv . It is the flash video in the middle of the page. I also attached the .swf file.

This project consists of several parts, all of which will be done remotely via TightVNC:

1) Install and configure Postfix in a new Ubuntu installation.

2) Configure Postfix as an open relay.

3) Conifgure Postfix to send all emails through the Tor network (torproject.org).

4) Install and configure a email list program so I can upload email names/email addresses via a CSV file, and have the Ubuntu box send the emails to the recipents, via Postfix (through the Tor network). It would be great if I can upload the CSV files via a easy to use GUI which can be accessed via the web.
