This piece invokes a strong feeling of loss or regret. Maybe about something said before the loss of a loved one, maybe about something that wasn’t. It begins with a lonesome piano that is soon joined with legato strings pulling back and forth between chord changes all with a solid pizzicato cello line to gives it a slight sense of stability.
