Pastime with Good Company (Chamber, Small Ensembles)

Need a visit from a renaissance dance band? A tune written (allegedly) by King Henry VIII of England? Here it is. “Pastime with Good Company” is a renaissance dance, played here on acoustic instruments (apart from the Cuban electric bass to give the whole thing a bit of a kick). There’s the main tune on violin and flutes, together with an authentic “division” (variation) played by the violin, then back to the main tune again. Pa-van-tastic!
