To put it in strictly musical terms, at the beginning of the track, authentic acoustic guitar fingerpicking and swooping synths accompany a simple piano melody in the verse, which swells into a full-on orchestral rock/pop chorus complete with acoustic drums, distorted electric rhythm guitar and electric lead guitar.
