Beginner Cocos2D Tutorial On Easily Making A Map Based Game (With Videos)

I’ve been asked in the past if there was a game engine for making 2D platformers, isometric and overhead map based games on the iPhone and iPad.

There are ways to do this with nearly any game engine, but the Cocos2D game engine has support for maps created with the previously mention tiled map editor, and also has added functionality to enable the proper z-ordering of objects on a map with ease (something which can be very tedious).

I was recently told about a beginner Cocos2D tutorial on how to make a map based game.  The tutorial comes in video format from a Youtuber known as thenewboston (who actually has over 900 different video tutorials).  They are very high quality, straightforward, and should be accessible to anyone with a basic knowledge of Objective-C.  Bucky does a great job in making the videos not just informative, but entertaining.
