My site will be using the phpprobid auction script. It will be a content marketplace where content providers and content buyers interact. I won’t be using the standard auction features but will still need to allow members to post Ads.
So basically, the auction verbiage should be removed from all places in the site/script.Words and features associated with auctions should be removed ie. auction, bids, starting time, etc.
And for the reverse auctions I will just need all words associated with “Reverse” changed to Jobs or Job Listings.
I will also be purchasing a few dozen mods from mods4u.com and will need you to install these before any custom work is done. I believe the installation of these mods are easy and straightforward but there is quite a few of them so it could take some time.

Custom Fixes

Registration / User type:
– I would like both types of user members on my site to be either of 2 types: 1) Content Provider or 2) Content Buyer. So depending on which user type the member is, they would click on the corresponding registration link. When they are logged in they should only be presented with the items that concern them.
For example, Content Buyers won’t need any use for the “Sell” buttons or Manage Auction links. In the same respect, Content Providers won’t need to see the “Wanted Ads” or “Reverse Auction” management links. However, there should be an option in the admin to override this restriction on case by case basis. So in the member’s control panel of a Content Buyer there will be a link that says “Request to Sell Content” and clicking on this link will bring to a page where they can fill in details as to why they are requesting their account to be a mixed account.
The same goes for the Content Provider. Then in the admin section the admin will see this request and may choose to approve or deny the request. If approved, then the requesting user will have a mixed account and their member control panel will display as normal and curently how it is displayed without modification.
Homepage:
– Add image carousel or featured images rectangle on the homepage right below the menu. something like what was done here: http://www.prweb.com (note: don’t mind the nature of the site, we’re only looking at the featured image section there). So the homepage layout will be two column but will have the image carousel for non logged in members. Once they are logged in I would like the image carousel to be hidden and the normal homepage will be displayed.
– On the homepage the featured auctions and featured reverse auctions should be listed with the image on the left and then to the right the title and description of the ad. So rather than a box with the image and title, it should look something like what is shown on this homepage http://www.fiverr.com
Auctions / Ads:
– Standard auctions should have all auction language removed or replaced ie. bid, bids, auction. The word to replace with is “Offer” If the word used isn’t needed at all then it should be removed. For example, “current bid” could be completely removed. Whereas “Auction Images” would be changed to “Offer Images”.
(I would like this to include the php file names as well. ie. http://www.mysite.com/login.php?redirect=auction_details.php?auction_id=100004 would be changed to http://www.mysite.com/login.php?redirect=offer_details.php?offer_id=100004
– Same thing with “reverse” and “reverse auctions” For example this page: http://www.mysite.com/reverse_auctions.php would be renamed to http://www.mysite.com/job_listings.php
– On the reverse auction pages all auction language should be removed and/or replaced as well. The word to replace with is “Job Listing”. So in the example of “Auction Images” it would be changed to “Job Listing Images”
– Hide all features regarding shipping, both on the frontend and members area since all goods sold will be completely digital.
– On each “Auction Ad” page at the bottom of the listing allow users to add comments and buyers to add feedback. So it would be a tabbed boxed with 2 tabs: one for comments and one for buyer feedback. Should only allow for signed in users to add comments and only confirmed buyers of the product to leave feedback. For the feedback there should be a thumbs up or thumbs down rating in addition to the text area box for their feedback.
– Set default font size for ads bigger.I realize the user can select a bigger font size for their ads but I would like it so the default starting font size is much bigger than what it is currently. At least 2 levels higher than what the default size is now.
Other:
– Send emails to owner of reverse auction when someone places bid or posts on message board.
