Hi,
I am looking for someone to develop a PC weather program that emulates the 24/7 local weather station seen in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K5EDCMBoAY
The program should operate as whats seen in the video. It should gather weather data from a location the user specifies, and display it properly. The source for most of the weather data should come from the NWS.
The current local conditions screen should pick up the humidity, pressure, wind, gusts, dew point, ceiling, visibility, and wind chill/heat index (if applicable)
The current regional conditions screen should display the temperature, wx condition icon, and wind for 8 cities chosen by the user.
The current regional map screen should display the temp & wx condition icon for up to 10 locations on a map for the users region.
The forecast regional map screen should display the temp & wx condition icon for up to 10 locations as well but it should display the data forecasted for the day (ex. if its sunday, the data should be whats forecasted for sunday)
The 36 hr screen should display the local forecast for the next 36 hours (ex. Tonight, Tomorrow, Tomorrow night)
The extended forecast screen should display the wx condition & icon, and the lo & hi temps for the next three days (ex. if its thursday, extended should be Fri, Sat, Sun)
The almanac screen should show the sunrise & sunset for the current & the next day, and the moon phases.
Finally the radar screen should display local doppler radar maps from weather.com for the location the user selected.
Please also note:
-The current date & time should be displayed on the top right corner of the screen
-The local conditions should occasionally be displayed on the bottom of the screen as shown in the video.
The resolution should be 640×480 and OS supported should be XP & Vista.
All backgrounds, icons, and fonts will be supplied by me.
Thank you.
