Events and parties are fun to attend but are such a chore to organize. There are simply too many variables in the equation which could make an event a dud if not executed carefully. Automating as many of those variables as possible can ensure peace of mind to the event planners. One such easiest variable is event registration, which DoAttend can help you get things set up in minutes.
Overview
DoAttend is an online event registration service that allows anyone to create, publish and promote their event free of cost. With the help of an easy-to-use registration system, within a matter of minutes, we can set up on our very own personalized event page. eTickets can also be generated and mailed to attendees, adding another layer of professional touch to event planning.
DoAttend has a neatly designed sign up page with big boxes for fields and the service needs you to activate the account from the link that has just been emailed.
Pricing
You can use DoAttend free of charge if you’re planing an event that is free for the invitees to participate. Events that require paid admissions have two pricing options.
You can either use DoAttend’s own payment gateway if you are processing the fee in INR (typically for events in India) or PayPal if you are from rest of the world. Do note that the PayPal payment option excludes the transaction fee that PayPal charges.
Dashboard
Clicking on the activation link automatically logs into your account and redirects to an incredibly helpful & brilliantly designed dashboard. The steps involved are neatly illustrated and elaborately described in four simple steps. I have seen similar things in the past but DoAttend dashboard takes the cake for the best instructive illustration.

Creating an Event
Creating an event page is akin to a blog, with a WYSIWYG editor for adding effects to the invitation text. An option to add the banner image for event & fields for adding venue details are available on the sight bar to the right.
Creating an Event 1
Once the event venue details are added, you can select the dates and times of the event’s start & end from a sea of drop down menus. DoAttend has a great option where you can choose a personalized sub domain dedicated solely to this event. In the event your event (wordplay!) has its own domain, you can add that as well.
Creating an Event 2
You can add tags & keywords to this event and, once you’re sure you have all the details, the event can be published.
Event Information Page for Web
The published event page has all the details you’ve entered so far and a map showing the venue of the event. The page has a number of social media links for the visitors to publicize the event.
Ticket Design
Creating a ticket for your event is fairly easy. Just upload the event logo, a header & a footer and DoAttend will generate etickets by itself. Ticketing options include adding discounts when people buy them in bulk.
Number of registrations, ticket sales and even incomplete registrations can be tracked from the Registration Summary page. A nice touch with DoAttend is the LIVE page that will feature tweets of the official twitter handle for the event, tweets marked with the official twitter hash tags for the event and also pictures of the event from Flickr.

Final Thoughts
I found DoAttend’s the pricing to be a bit on the steeper side. In addition to a fixed fee, DoAttend charges a percentage of the ticket price in commission. Adding this to the PayPal fee, that’s a quite a chunk of revenue out of the budget even before the event materializes.
The user interface is refined and has only the relevant links, blocks, menus & icons. In a nutshell, DoAttend is a painless event registration system with great design aesthetics.
