This project should it go ahead, will be for a global clothes retailer.
The project will be focused around creating an interface for Facebook users to browse a collection of headwear and jewellery and the option to apply them to the users’ avatar.
Since most Facebook users use avatars of their head, we will keep clothing out of this project.
The user interface needs to allow users to browse, and select items of their choice and super-impose those items on a profile image of their choice. What might make most sense is an option for a user to upload an image that fits a template.
See the integration of the photo upload function on http://jibjab.com.
The user should be able to add different items to the image such as hats, earrings and necklaces.
If they like the way they look when they’ve finished adding their apparel, they need to be able to share the image on their wall, or with certain friends.
They also should be able to purchase the items directly using a generated link that will put the items into a cart on the retailer website.
Additional functionality is welcome, such as the ability for users to rate or “like” each item, and also the resulting images of profile pictures with apparel attached.
This project is still very much in the early stages but we need to get an idea of the costs and time frame for a project like this before we can proceed.
