Download iOS 10.2.1 IPSW Links

The updates to iOS 10 continue to flow out from Apple in a bid to keep the bugs to a minimum and ensure that the newest firmware keeps running at optimal performance. iOS 10.2.1 [ beta ] is the latest update to fix a number of niggling bugs that have affected some users and it can be downloaded now, using one of the three methods detailed below.

Before You Update to iOS 10.2.1 :

Before you go ahead and hit the update button, go through this list to make sure your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch is ready for the new iOS version:

1. Make sure that you are running the latest version of iTunes , launch iTunes and click on Help > Check for Updates If a new version is found, you can follow the on-screen instructions to update to it

2. Next, connect your device to your computer and backup the data through iTunes and through iCloud

 

 

3. Disable the following features , all can be enabled again after you have updated . Passcode, Touch ID and Find my iPhone or iPad

 

 

 

Download iOS 10.2.1 :

There are three methods to update your device to iOS 10.2.1. If you intend to jailbreak in the future, should a jailbreak become available, use one of the iTunes methods:

Method 1 : OTA [ Over the Air ]

1. Open Settings on your device
2. Tap General > Software Update  

3. Wait for the update to be located and then tap on Update and Install  

4. Wait for iOS 10.2.1 to be installed

Method 2 : iTunes

1. Plug your iOS device into your computer or Mac
2. Open iTunes and, if you have more than one device registered, click the device summary for the one connected
3. Click Check for Update 

4. On the popup message, click on Download and Update
5. iTunes will now update your device to iOS 10.2.1 and, when completed, your device will reboot to the Hello screen

Method 3 : iTunes with IPSW

1. Download the iOS 10.2.1 IPSW that corresponds to your iOS device [ beta links below ]
2. Plug your device into your PC or Mac and open iTunes
3. Press the ALT [ Mac ] or SHIFT [ Windows ] key on your keyboard and click Restore in iTunes at the same time

4. Find the IPSW you downloaded and click to select it

 

• Follow the instructions on the screen and click on Install 
• iTunes will download iOS 10.2.1 and your device will reboot to the Hello screen hen complete
