We are looking to develop a website which will have a set of 5 educational/intellect driven games. The games do not require any animation.
Each game would have approximately 4-6 pages. Out of which 3-4 pages (such as Leader Board and Profit & Loss statement) would be almost similar across all games.
Each game would have two game-types – (1) With humans, (2) With computer – (a) Easy (b) Medium (c) Hard
The complete walkthrough of the game-logic would be given. Also, computer logic (and computer player input) for different game-types would be given. Please note that logic will be plain English. But we would make proper effort to give as much information as possible in flow-chart method.
Essentially, the website would have to be designed in a way where users would be able to play any kind of game (and game-type). And users can finish an unfinished game as well. The look and feel of the website should be professional, no jazz required.
The game-type “With Humans” would only be admin driven i.e. only admin can start such a game-type with defined time-lines. Also, most variables would have a default value but can be changed upon admin’s discretion.
It might sound a lot but believe me the work requirement is not huge if developer is good at setting databases. Its more about handling of databases rather than tricky aspects of game-logic or animation. A couple of examples of similar types are given below-
The first is http://www.panacheevent99.com/iimgame2/home.php, this was my previous experience with a local developer. Almost the complete website functions well, except for (1) Look and Feel; and more importantly for lack of functionality of (2)”And users can finish an unfinished game as well”.
Please go-ahead, create a user-id and feel the game-flow to understand the requirements.
The other such websites are http://www.btmgame.com/ and http://www.airwaysim.com. I don’t have login ids for either of them now. But our games are closer to http://www.btmgame.com/ as the other website seems too vast for us to even conceive at this stage.
Please note that for out of 5 games, we have PHP code (logic part) ready for 1 game.
We are ok to have payment schedule staggered in 15-30-45-60-100, with each step being the game completion, which will be marked by full testing by our team (preferably over Friday night, Saturday and Sunday).
We will bear the costs of domain and online server space if required. All the games in our opinion can be developed in a span of 25-30 days but we would be fine if they are spread over a period of 3 months or a little over it. Also, please note that we will share the next game-logic only after completion of first game. And last but not the least we believe that to make new things work, efficient communication is the most important tool.
