I’ve mentioned a few components for working with maps, such as P2MSRoutingView allowing you to overlay routes on a map.
Here’s an open source component providing a selection of a circular region on a MKMapView called DBMapSelectorViewController from Denis Bogatyrev.
DBMapSelectorViewController displays a great looking overlay on the selected area with customizable colors, with the radius of the selected area displayed. The component is configured by supplying the coordinates, and radius.
