I host Intranets using Joomla and CB for a specific industry. I also host an information site using joomla and CB for the same industry. When a user is added to an Intranet, I need them added to the user database for my information site automatically. Their password should also sync. If the user is removed from the Intranet, they should be removed from the information site. Here’s the twist: Users w/the same user name but from different Intranets might try to sync to the information site. That would mean duplicate usernames on the information site, and I think that’s a no-no. So, your script would have to append to the username from the intranet something like the site name so on the information site the username would be username at sitename.
I prefer not to hack the joomla code, if possible.
