I have a total of eight files that needs to be merged into one unique database. Not all files contain the same data selects and not all file are standardized. Standardizing the file is important and part of this project.
Samples of each of the eight files are attached. I have also attached additional documention including a requirments document. I used the first 250 rows in each file as a sample. I have placed the samples in Excel so I could indicat the fields needed by highlighting them in red. The actual files are in TXT. We are primarily concerned with the name, address and date of birth because all files contain this common data, however, we will be importing additional fields when they are available.
Many records have more than one address. When this happens we need two records where only one currently exists. Each record should contain only one address. Please ask questions if this not clear as it is very important. We need to identify as many unique address records as possible and there should never be more than one address in a record. Some of this same information will be in the requirments documents but listing the general overview here so those interested will have a better idea if they wish to review them.
Please make sure and ask any questions. Quality of data is more important to me than quantity of records or speed to project completion. Care must be taken to assure accuracy of data is maintained. If you would provide a brief overview of how you would accomplish this project, when you could start if selected and when you would complete it I would appreciate it.
