Sometimes users may decline an app’s request for access to privacy protected data such as photos, and that’s why I mentioned the JLPermissions library that allows you to prompt the user with helpful information before the permission prompt comes up.
If a user has declined the permission request they will need to go into their settings, and grant your app permission, and here’s an open source library from Daniele Bogo allowing you to easily display helpful screens to guide the users to adjust their privacy settings called DBPrivacyHelper.
The library provides a category for ease of use, and helpers are provided for the Photo, Camera, Location, Health, HomeKit, and MotionActivity.
Each helper screen is provided in a number of different languages for localization – English, Spanish, Italian, and Chinese.
