Earlier this year I mentioned a library allowing you to create a shimmering effect similar to that found in the Facebook paper app to a view.
Here’s an open source library providing a UIView category inspired by Facebook’s Slingshot app allowing you to recreate the cool pixellated animation shown on images called CRPixellatedView by Christian Roman.
With CRPixellatedView you can control the size of the pixellation effect, and the duration of the effect, there is a convenient callback when the pixellation effect ends, and you can easily reverse the animation if desired.
