1. Its for an e commerce site- a buyers and sellers marketplace – where buyers and sellers can meet. Buyers can post projects and sellers can search for them.
2. Functionality to allow buyers to post projects. Projects will be posted area wise – select state > county > town > post project.
3. Search functionality to give buyers and sellers the ability to search for any product or service on the site
4. Functionality to sort by Area – county, state, county, town
People should be able to view all but also be able to view by a pre defined area.
5. Forums that visitors can access with user name and password
6. Functionality to set up a “My Account” to: a) Store your billing and shipping information, b) Track your order online, c) View your order history, d) Manage your online profile with a user name and password
7. Set up a Private Message Board where buyers and sellers can post private messages for each other
8. Build analytics for tracking orders, sales, revenue earned etc.
like google anlyatics to do them daily, weekly, monthly.
9. Allow the system to receive requests from buyers – so we can match up buyers and sellers
a) someone puts in a request… to the admin
b) the admin then scans all of the sellers profiles to see who is best for the job and sends an email out to 1, 2, 3 or 4 people saying that a new job is available. They can then contact the person who put in a request
10. Functionality for a floating commission structure/algorithm depending on the cost and the commissions we are able to secure
Sellers will pay a commission for their work. The commissions aren’t all going to be a flat rate. Maybe we say- if the service was $100 or less it is 5%, if it was $100-$500- it is a 6%, if it is over 1000 than it is 7%- this is just for illustrative purposes. Also some businesses can’t pay as high of a commission so depending on the industry and the price- have floating commissions. Also, initial people may get a special deal to start with and then as time goes on- new companies would come in at a higher commission rate. Really want flexibility as this is going to change and don’t want to have developing issues in the future.
11. Functionality to set up multiple payouts on a job through Paypal- so the seller gets paid while we receive our share of the transaction.
When a transaction takes place, payment will be made to two different parties – seller and our client (the owner of this website)
So if the total job was 1,000 with a 10% commission to the client.
Buyer pays through paypal $1,000. The seller gets $900 less the paypal fees and the owner of the site (the client) gets $100 less the paypal fees.
Please bid with examples and time line.
