A few months ago I mentioned an in-depth series of tutorials covering the new multitasking APIs added in iOS 7.
Here’s a nice straightforward tutorial from Brian Mayo over at Captech Consulting with a nice over of the background multitasking with an example project.
The tutorial explains how to set up background fetching, background transfers, and remote notifications and provides a simple example demonstrating how to use the background transfer service APIs to download data.
