Open Source iOS Pixel-Perfect UIImagePickerController Replacement Component With Added Features

About a year ago I mentioned a component for making great looking Map Kit annotations with thumbnail images from JP Simard.

Here’s another great component from JP Simard that provides a pixel perfect replacement to the UIImagePickerController created due to a lack of customization options available with the iOS photo taking interface.

JPSImagePickerController provides expected UIImagePickerController features (picture taking, front back camera, flash on/off) and adds support for for the landscape orientation, allows you to activate photo taking with the volume control, and adds in a confirmation screen with zoom support.

Here’s a set of images showing JSImagePickerController in action:

You can find JPSImagePickerController on Github here.

A nice component enhancing the standard UIImagePickerController while keeping the same look and feel.
