Just over a month ago I mentioned a nice component for creating multi-column views.
Here’s a nice open source spreadsheet type view based on UICollectionView from Mutual Mobile called MMSpreadSheetView.
You can specify the desired number of rows, and columns when creating your MMSpreadSheetView, and the spreadsheet responds to scrolling gestures as expected.
