Here is what we recommend to move ahead for this project:
Let us clarify requirements by creating some dummy / static html screens.
For this purpose, we would like to open up a private project for you in the amount of $100
Before we can open the private project, here is what we request for you to do.
1. Divide the project into different modules / parts.
2. For each part you answer following questions:
a. Name / Description of the part / module.
b. Features / salient aspects of this module.
c. This part will be completely open source or custom made or a combination. Provide suitable detail for each feature or part or as you like. If you already have some thing similar pre-made then let us know. This will go in your favor as it will reduce time.
c. Estimated time to build / complete or integrate this part / module.
d. General comments about this part.

If we are satisfied with your answers then we will take you to the next step of clarifying the requirements. Your prior experience with some thing similar will be a big factor in our decision.
This will be done by use of dummy / static html pages etc. As mentioned earlier we will pay you for this work.
PROJECT SCOPE:
We want a web application that helps in scheduling pickup and drop of products and services from pre-registered locations.
These products may need repairs or other services.
An example may be cars needing repairs or clothing needing dry cleaning / laundary or computers needing repairs or picking up simple documents that need to be worked upon or hand delivered to another location etc etc.
We want it to be generic. So that we can apply it to other types of products / services.
At the time of pick up if the price is well known then it is provided to the customer. Else a base price is provided to the customer and then later when the estimate is complete then the customer is asked for the permission by sending an invoice.
The price of each order may comprise of multiple products or multiple services.
For simplicity we may like to group together some of the prices into package deals.
For scheduling some kind of calendar system will be good. Similarly for pick / drop routes we need some kind of maps etc.
We want the ability to discuss the orders / details ….just like here at RAC as discussion threads.
Also want the ability to put money in deposit / pre-authorization or partial / final payment – e commerce.
Payment via at least 3 gateways…. feel free to suggest.
Please allow the location / business owners to register their locations for pickup and drop.
It will be nice if it is done as part of a CMS e.g. JOOMLA or DRUPAL. Or this may even be vTiger etc etc. Open to suggestion. This will allow other modules to be plugged in.
e.g. Trouble Tickets / Customer Support, FAQs, Auto Responders, Search etc etc.
