Handy UI Control For Automatically Alerting User When Reachability Is Lost

Previously I mentioned an excellent drop-in replacement for Apple’s reachability Class that supports ARC and utilizes grand central dispatch.

A common issue that arises with reachability is alerting the user when their network connection is lost.

Here’s an easy to use UI control called MMReachabilityViewController from Manuele Maggi that allows you to easily alert the user as soon as they lose reachability.

A customizable banner view is displayed that either slides in pushing the current view downwards, or slides in as a banner overlaying the view.

Here’s an image showing the control in action when reachability is lost:

You can find MMReachabilityViewController on Github here.

A handy control for solving a common problem.  Thanks to Chris for the submission.
