I’ve mentioned a number of open source iPhone and iPad UI components for making basic circular progress views such as MBProgressHud.
Here’s another great control for easily creating circular progress views called HKProgressView from Panos Baroudjian.
What’s nice about this component is that you can easily customize the style and coloring of the progress view, and in addition you can place one progress view within another.
This is nice because you might want to indicate the progress of something that could stall like a download on the outer progress view, but want the user to know the app is still alive so an inner progress view does the updating.
