It has been busy recently in the App Store with a bunch of app updates landing on iOS and OS X. Grab a cup of joe and check out our list of notable updates from the past week or so!
Favs [iOS Universal, Category: Social Networking, $2.99] The app for your likes, stars, social bookmarks and favorites. Version 1.2 brings the following changes:
- Ready for iPad! (Universal App)
- Ready for iPhone 5
Phatpad [iPad, Category: Productivity, $4.99] More than another note-taking app, PhatPad turns your iPad into an advanced brainstorming tool. Version 2.5 brings the following changes:
- New pen/color palette
- Improved inking and app performance
- Improved handwriting recognition
- Bug fixes
Choremonster [iPhone, Category: Education, Free] Choremonster allows parents and kids to actually enjoy doing their chores. Version 1.1.2 brings the following changes:
- Parents Section
- Redesign of the Kids section
- New Monster Carnival
PicFrame [iOS Universal, Category: Photography & Video, $0.99] PicFrame helps you combine multiple photos into frames and share them with your friends and family via Facebook, Email, Instagram, and more. Version 6.1 brings the following changes:
- iPhone 5 support.
- Added four more frames.
- Sharing non square PicFrame images to Instagram are padded to * display the full PicFrame image.
CamScanner Pro [iPhone, Category: Productivity, $4.99] CamScanner turns your phone into a scanner and a fax machine. Version 1.7.0.0 brings the following changes:
- Support to register CamScanner
- Transfer fax balance with your account
- Compatible with iPhone 5
- Share with JPEG format
- Support multiple tags
- Sort documents by created time
Jingu Friends [iPhone, Category: Social Networking, Free] Find people to chat with on WhatsApp, Kik Messenger, Hookt & LiveProfile. Version 1.3 brings the following changes:
- Tell others what you want to talk about in the all-new Topics area!
- When chatting with someone, you can optionally send private messages.
- You can now “like” a message that someone has posted.
- Check out the latest messages and likes that you have received in the notification center in the menu.
- Know how popular someone is by seeing how many people have viewed their profile, sent them a message, or liked their messages.
- Don’t like someone? Block them, and you’ll never hear from them again!
- Find new users more easily with age and gender filtering!
Monopoly [iPhone, Category: Games, $0.99] Monopoly now on your iPhone. Version 2.2.25 brings the following changes:

Izik 1.1 [iPad, Category: Reference, Free] Izik (pronounced EYE-zik) is the first search engine that is optimized for the tablet. Version 1.1 brings the following changes:
- Click the ‘Demo’ mode button, sit back, and enjoy a visually pleasing way of browsing content.
- Sliding drawer navigation adds the ability to browse trending queries.
- Facebook and Twitter share buttons within the in-app browser allow users to surface compelling content.
- An all new design!
[PopClip] [OS X, Category: Utilities, $4.99] PopClip appears when you select text with your mouse in any app. Instantly access context-specific actions including cut, copy and paste. Version 1.4.4 brings the following changes:
- PopClip is no longer limited to a maximum of 10 extensions (limit is now 22).
- Extensions can now be re-ordered.
- Other bug fixes.
