Dear Aunt TUAW,
I found a mysterious Apple-branded remote control at a friend’s place (picture attached) and I was wondering what it’s for? Can you identify it?
Your loving nephew,
Richard

Dear Richard,
Auntie believes this is a remote from one of the many early Apple Video/TV systems like the Macintosh TV. A variety of computers in the Performa, Quadra, and LC line offered multimedia solutions that allowed you to watch TV or connect inputs from VCRs, camcorders, or laserdisc systems.
The Macintosh TV was introduced in October 1993 for just over US$2,000. Sporting a Motorola 68030 chip and 5MB onboard RAM, it was discontinued in February 1994.
Hugs,
Auntie T.
