Tool That Automatically Creates Vector-Based Objective-C Graphics Code (Trial Available)

The popularity of the iOS platform, and the opening of the Mac App store has created an explosion in the number of apps for developers using the Mac.

This has been both good and bad, and I’ve mentioned some excellent tools available in the Mac app store such as the excellent Accessorizer code generation tool and the Dash code snippet manager.

The tool I’m mentioning today is PaintCode.  You may have heard of PaintCode when it was first released – what PaintCode does is automatically generate vector based Objective-C Core Graphics code for both iOS and Mac while you draw using a full featured wysiwig editor.

The reason why I didn’t mention it previously was because the app costs nearly $100 for the full version, and at that time there was no trial available.  That has changed the developers have placed a trial version so you can see for yourself exactly what the app does.

For those unfamiliar with the PaintCode app you can check out this video:

You can purchase the full version of PaintCode on the Mac App Store here.

You can download the trial version and get more info on the PaintCode web site.

Definitely a core tool for anyone working with Core Graphics on an ongoing basis.
