In the past I’ve mentioned the Parse.com service for creating a web-based app backend, and liked how the developers were adding more and more features creating a very versatile API.
Since that time the service has left beta (although still free for those with less than a million api requests) , and new features have been added.
If you’ve been using the service, or wanted to check out what it can do David Mendels has written an interesting tutorials that goes step-by-step building an iOS chat app and use the Parse.com API to provide the backend.
Everything’s covered including how to set up the app on the Parse.com website.
You can find the tutorial over on Attila’s den here.
You can download just the code over on Github here.
A very interesting an in-depth example on how to use Parse.com.
