Change Of Url Variables To Look Like Directories

I need someone who can do .php URLs into imaginary directories.

e,g URL/index.php?i=23 to URL/contact

Contact directory does not exist on the server, but looks like it exists.In someone types an index file after contact e.g URL/contact/index.php or index.asp, they are redirected back to the contact directory.
