Last week I mentioned an open source category extending the UIImage class allowing the easy use of PDF vector images within iOS apps so developers can easily place scalable images within their apps.
Today I came across another extremely useful open source iOS project that is a UIView subclass allowing you to mask icons with different effects such as colors, gradients, overlays.
The library even supports PDF images so the icons can be scaled to any resolution which definitely adds to the usefulness.
You can see a screenshot of the library’s demo project in action below:
The library is MOOMaskedIcon by Peyton Randolph and can be found on Github here with full documentation, and a demo project.
Definitely will save a lot of time spent resizing and coloring images.
