I’ve received several questions about available cross-promotion tools and services available for iOS apps.
There are many, and new startups promising to help with app cross-promotion seem to pop up on an almost daily basis.
Often these new services end up never becoming more than an e-mail submit page so in this article I’ll stick just with the active services.
Services For Games
There are a number of very active services just for game cross promotion.
The OpenFeint social networking service provides a number of ways to promote games utilizing their service, and recently added GameFeed which looks like a very slick, easy solution for in game cross promotion.
PlayHaven has been used in a number of high-download games, and provides a proven working solution for in-game cross promotion.
Applifier is a solution that is fairly new to iOS, but has been extremely successful for Facebook games.
Services Not Just For Games
Install Wall looks like a good solution for those looking to cross promote all types of apps.
PhotoAppLink is a great looking open source library for those looking to cross promote photo applications.
