We have a flash mapping system that we need to make in html to be compatible with no-flash browsers.

Review the map at the link above. It connects to an xml file to be updated every 30 seconds. If a new entry is found, a new blip and flag appear showing the data from the xlm file.
The flags fade over time and by 30 days, the flags disappear.
Can you do this with html?
