Project 2 – Radio Streaming Scheduler and Radio Streaming client
WE have been working with another open source program that uses recorded mp3’s to schedule a live stream via icecast. However the problem that we are having is that the scheduler CANNOT take LIVE audio, only recorded mp3’s. What we would need to have done is the following:
1. Allow live audio to be scheduled via the scheduler.
2. Accept multiple urls via the scheduler to rebroadcast i.e. accept url streams from programmers not local
3. Create an encoder/stream app that a remote user can use that would connect directly to our radio infrastructure.
There is a language that works with the open source scheduler that uses OCaml. This is the basics of the 2nd project.
