Looking to hire someone to create or modify a WordPress MU plugin (i.e.marketpress WPMU dev since it supports buddypress) to allow users to post their unwanted items (i.e. 2nd handed items) for store credits (virtual currency) which they can use to get other posted items on the Multisite. The store credit ($$) will require users to either purchase credits ($$) by bank transfer or gain through swapping (meaning post an unwanted item on the site and when someone else checkouts the item, the credits will be transferred from the buyer to the owner). No selling will be involved on the site!!!
To encourage users to post more items and more people on the site, a credit reward program will be available as well where:
1) User gets a unique coupon code and they can share with friends who can use it for their first check out. Everytime a friend uses it, the person who share will get ## credits. A similar idea was used by https://www.diapers.com/myaccount/sharethesavings.aspx
2) User will get # of credits where they make posts through the pre-defined sharing topics (i.e. recipes, place to go…etc.) For this part, i’ve already setup a group blog to do that and there’s a plugin called cubepoints that will allow users to gain social credits. I was hoping we can modify this plugin as well so that we can use the same credit system for the swapping
Here are the deliverable Milestones we would like to set in priority sequence for this project:
• Technical Description before starting the project
• Swap Store feature: Allow users to post/add their unwanted items for credits to the site by providing product pics, description, store credit for the item ($), size and what category it belongs in the admin and front end
• Swap Order Check-out and Delivery Logistic: Add to Cart -> Place Order (let user choose pick-up method and shipping info) -> Checkout & deduct credits ($) from receiver -> Email to owner/receiver about order and move item to pending order -> Allow receiver to update status once they receive the item and make a rating to the Owner -> give credits to owner
• Swap Credit ($) System: allow user to purchase credits through bank transfer and obtain credits by posting swap item through the swap store or making a regular post through sharing topics. Note: for the sharing topic, we’ve setup a group blog to do that and there’s a plugin called cubepoints that will allow users to gain credits through making posts. We were hoping we can modify this plugin as well so that we can use the same credit system for swapping.
• Swap Admin Module (manage swap items, orders, member account, shipping info, unique coupon code etc.)
• Swap Rating Ranking System for members: Top swapper (Most items sent/receive), Stylish pers (Highest style rating), Stars (Highest feedback rating)
• Swap Referral program: each member can activate this and get a unique coupon code they can share with friends who can use it for their first check out. • Bilingual support in English & Chinese (we’re currently exploring WPML.org plugin)
• Final Testing
• Final document to possibly cover the following: Function operation and description for each component, data schema and dictionary, how to troubleshoot the function, etc.
NOTE: We only want the plugin to be developed, not the design for the entire site since we’ll take care that part. However, you MUST develop the plugin and fully demonstrated it works in the admin panel and the front end.
