I would like to create an app that has four basic parts:
1. Brainstorming
randomly generate a question from a list of questions. The user can then choose to answer the question. If they answer, they will press a button and record, and then the app will use voice recognition to transcribe what they are saying.
We will also include sample essays with recorded comments about the essays
2. Outlining
This will be a five paragraph essay. Each paragraph, first we will ask user for a topic sentence, will we use voice recognition to transcribe and then generate an outline
3. Writing Essay
For each paragraph, have students say the essay, and then use voice recognition to transcribe each paragraph.
4. Revising and editing
We will give then questions to anser about the essay. also, they will ahve the option to play back their voice for the essay, so they can hear their story. finally, they can select to rewrite any paragraph and say the new paragraph, and have that transcribed
In addition, students should always have the option of emailing the text to themselves, so they can edit it using software. also, we would like to be able to show them offers for our essay editing services and to enter our essay scholarship contest.
