I want to design a script to securly display some pdf books we are selling…
We already have the cart system and are selling the books, this is only to display the books after the sale…
ADMIN:
The admin would login and can register a client and assign a user name and password etc (needed fields: name,email,ref #, username and password)…
In the admin you can also delete, suspend and edit users.
The admin can edit any user and select which books they have access to with a check box… make room for about 40 pdfs.. we have about 5 books BUT each book has several separate pdfs for example book 1 is 6 pfds..
Listed under each user and maybe a summary report for all users, We can track who and from where people login to read the book (their IP addresses maybe).. this is to help prevent 1 person from buying a pdf book and sharing his username and password wth firends…
CLIENT:
The client can login and securely ready our pdf books the admin authorized him to read.
There would be security that would limit the amount of computers that can login using the same username and password and auto suspend clients that login from to many locations….this is to help prevent 1 person from buying a pdf book and sharing his username and password wth firends…
The pdfs should not be downloadable… I only what them to be able to view them not download and share the books…
So for example the client can login from work and then go home and login from there… we would record the ip addresses of those first few computers then only those computers can login and read our pdfs… a user trying to login from a third or fourth place using that same password would get an error and be suspended.
and make the script in the colors and style of the current sales site (basic white background and you can get the header from the current site)…
