I want a missing person app for facebook. i am thinking either using image tagging with face recognition, which is now available or a simple database which is tied to the FB page.. this allows people to enter a name and it searchs the database. The database will be populated with data from the relief workers who will take pics if available and enter personal details. I am also thinking that the app should allow a user if they receive several results to click on the results and be sent to the user’s profile page.
In addition, another application which can be designed to work with or separately is a notification system. when someone enters in the shelter, they are asked are you on facebook, if yes the app will be able to look up the person’s friends and send a pre-defined message stating that the person is safe and in a shelter.
