We need to provide our customers a convenient way to order/re-order supplies and accessories. Half of our product line we would like to sell to the general public, and the other half we want to reserve for just our current customers (account approval, login/password required).
Key features we require:
1. Live Tax (works with AvaTax in order to calculate accurate, real time tax)
2. Live FedEx quotes (we have an account with FedEx, and we would like to be able to calculate shipping based on the rate they provide, plus a percentage we specify)
3. Custom look & feel (branding is very important to us)
4. Ability to add and remove products ourselves
5. Bulk/quantity pricing (ability to offer discounts for purchasing in bulk)
6. Coupon Codes (ability to offer periodic discounts or free shipping)
7. Customer Groups (ability to put customers into different groups, and be able to apply rules to each group, i.e. no tax for resellers)
8. Upsell/Cross-sell (ability to upsell customers during shopping & checkout)
9. Detailed reporting (ability to produce monthly reports of sales and trends)
10. At least 150 products
11. Email list collection (ability for customers to opt-in to mailing lists)
12. Customer account approval (require login/password)
We are aware that there are platforms out there that provide most of these features, but we are looking for a cart that fills our unique needs. We don’t care if it is a hosted solution, or an out-of-the-box solution. We’ve used BigCommerce before, and it fills almost every need except live taxes, which is really important to us. We are open to discussion.
