I need a script (php probably although I LOVE perl the best) — it will need to be a very functional and versatile “news and announcements” script where non-web savvy person can go into an admin, add an announcement, add downloadable files that show up with the announcment, be able to format text, change display order of announcement, etc. It should display similar to http://www.fairfieldme.com/town/ — where the notice clicks thru to a page where full text can be displayed, etc.
I’m sure wordpress already has something like this available, but this is a static website and I like to keep things simple.
Also, advice on php calendar would be good. I usually use easilysimplecalendar but if you have something you feel is better, but just as versatile, let me know.
